The Dar al Islam Teachers' Institute provides a broad set of information on Islam, including foundational principles, historical and diaspora based information, and discussion of current areas of interest at our Abiquiu site. The participants also study English translations of excerpts from the Qur'an and Hadith with Muslim scholars who have strong academic or traditional credentials, and are able to relate easily with a variety of North American educators.

These tools are meant to help the participants in teaching about Islam more effectively. Past attendees have included secondary school teachers from throughout the nation, including from private and parochial institutions.

Attendees often form strong relationships with one another and with the teachers, engaging in thought-provoking dialogue the feedback from which informs subsequent sessions.
